Nature by the Bay

Wow! I think this has been one of my longest breaks from blogging since I began back in 2002. Like many, I am posting short thoughts and interesting links via Twitter and Facebook. But still, 6 weeks between posts!?!  … Ok, moving right along.

We recently returned from a long week road trip that took us out to Palo Alto, Cambria, San Diego and Blythe.  As usual, the trip went by very quickly and sadly there wasn't enough time to see everyone and do everything.

That's not to say we didn't have a great trip! Plus, we brought our little Yorkie (Sparkle) with us this time.  What a great traveler he is!  He just gets in the rhythm of the day and goes with the flow.

On the work front, I did get to spend some quality time with my manager, who's based out of Bristol England.  I also got to spend great face to face time with some of my colleagues and was able to just sort of hang out with them; that's always a good thing.

To break the blog drought, what better subject than some photos taken near a great body of water?  These were taken at my usual first-day stop, the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve, located on shore of the San Francisco Bay.

A few more of my shots from the Baylands are available on Flickr.
