Northern Flicker

Northern Flicker || Canon350d/EF100-400F4-5.6L@400 | 1/1000s (1/800 2nd img) | f8 |  ISO400 | handheld

Providing food during and after storms continues to reward us with a good variety of birds visiting our backyard. Recently we've had some Northern Flickers, both the Eastern variety and either the West or South Western variation. Here's a couple of shots of the Eastern version of the Northern Flicker. (If there's any softness to the images it's because they were shot through a glass window.) February 2007.
